Over the centuries the speed of life has influenced the nations so much that societies today has come to a point where most of the traditions are passed over to generations without any consideration. Unfortunately when religion is the subject, the lack of consideration gets even worse. None of the religious followers around the World live their religion with proper understanding. Just like the football fans, they all support their religion blindly.

Unlike others, Muslims must be aware that the word Muslim means one who submits to the will of God and Islam means entering into a condition of peace and security with God. Islam is not a new religion but the root religion of all monotheistic religions. The biggest miracle of Islam is Holy Quran which guides and teaches the suggestions of God Almighty to all servants.

For centuries and even today Muslims around the world recite Holy Quran mainly in Arabic. However within 1, 4 billion Muslims today only 246 million (%17) are Arabic speakers by native. This means that the remaining %83 of Muslims are trying to communicate with their Lord with the language that they don’t understand. Infact, due to the change in spoken Arabic even Arabs today need to simplify the original Quranic text in order to understand Holy Quran.

The reason that Holy Quran is in Arabic is just like the example of frozen foods being kept in deep freezer. Being in Arabic, Holy Quran is kept fresh and unchanged for as long as time will exist. To be able to eat the food in the fridge, the hungry person must first process the frozen food and cook it. In the same principal anyone who wishes to be guided by Allah (swt) must read Holy Quran’s translations in their native language. It doesn’t matter in which language Holy Quran is translated, the basic messages of it will remain the same. None of the translations can be considered as God Almighty’s word, but it can be said that the translations give us a clear view of God Almighty’s messages.

Allah (swt) being the Utterly Just, granted His book to us, in order to educate each and every one of us by Himself.

For centuries and even today the idea of reading and understanding Holy Quran by reading its translation is not accepted in many Muslim societies. Many believe reciting the book in Arabic, even without understanding is sufficient and Holy Quran can not be understood by ordinary people or even be touched by those who are not purified. All these and similar approaches towards Holy Quran are the false laws of devil (sheitan).

Al Furqan 30 - Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Quran for just foolish nonsense."

This verse from Holy Quran should be a great warning to all of us to see how even our Prophet (puh) is complaining to our Lord Almighty because we are moving away from the book. This is also the clearest evidence showing us how we are taking Quran as a foolish nonsense.

Let us not forget that our Prophet (puh) and his friends around him only read Holy Quran with understanding. If we have the desire to live this short life with comfort and make our hereafter a beautiful paradise, we must all read Holy Quran with understanding at all times.
